Local Lifestyle
Coral Gables is filled with lush green treescapes, uniform architectural styles, and winding boulevards, which has earned it a fabulous reputation. In addition, because of its strict zoning regulations, Coral Gables still feels unique, and its architecture remains at the forefront.
For example, the city's fountains, European-style piazzas, and Mediterranean Revival-style architecture bring the area to life, making Coral Gables home to a vibrant collection of buildings, thriving arts, and a fantastic multicultural scene.
Dining, Entertainment, & Shopping
The Miracle Mile is the main east-west artery in Coral Gables that divides the city's busy business district. However, on the weekends, this area buzzes with residents and tourists. This multi-block avenue is a downtown highlight with around 200 retailers and 70 restaurants, making it a great place to grab something to eat or shop. You can even enjoy a free, air-conditioned, hybrid trolley ride that is perfect for those trying to see it all.
In addition, the area is also filled with an impressive collection of galleries and fantastic restaurants, including Brasserie Central, Zucca, Seasons 52, and the restaurants on Giralda Plaza. However, if you want even more luxurious shopping, the Shops at Merrick Park is a great place to check out, especially since it offers customers over 100 world-class shops and dining establishments across three floors.
Things to Do
Although Coral Gables is known for its food, entertainment, and shopping, it is also incredibly pedestrian-friendly, with a downtown area perfect for strolling. If you are looking for venues, festivals, and events to check out while in the area, then the Venetian Pool, the world-famous Biltmore Hotel, and Coral Gables Museum are fantastic places to visit.
At the same time, the Coral Gables Festival of the Arts, Sanctuary of the Arts, and Carnaval on the Mile are ideal if you are looking for a great time.
